"Disappointed with my salmon bowl poke because no seasonings and cooking of basmati rice was really limiting. A little olive oil in the rice and soy sauce for the whole would be greatly appreciated! my friend was rather happy with his fish chips that he found tasteful, well served and crispy."

"We have a holiday house in Gievres so visit often. There are a number of good restaurants in the area but we always make sure that we go to La Sapiniere at least once when we are over. The food is good, the staff is always friendly and helpful and the ambience is great. One or two reviews criticise the attitude of the owner or the staff. Our first experience was not great we tried to eat there without a booking and it was full. The owner was a bit brusque but he was rushed off his feet so not surprising. Since then we have always booked, always get a warm welcome and have a pleasant chat as well as a very good meal. Go for the baked potato, cooked in the grill which is in the centre of the dining room delicious!"
