"Got take out for a family dinner, 8 pieces and 3 chips and a large coleslaw. It was pretty greasy, honestly, the fish was dripping oil when it was served some 20-30 minutes later yet the fries were soggy and mushy. The tartar sauce was not homemade and in a packet, had a weird sticky texture and was overtly sweet, like their large coleslaw which was the size of a styrofoam cup, filled 3/4 of the way full. Most disappointing was the fish; they were was small pieces, I'd say about 100-150 grams each maybe (a picky 6 year old needed more than 1 piece) and was obvious it wasn't fresh (it's halibut after all, in Ontario,) you could taste that it was frozen. I don't know if there's a Captain George's quality standard but the Port Perry location doesn't make me want to try other locations. Save your money and hunger and order from Mad Millie's."

"Very disappointed, given the price! the fish tasted like old fries oil, the fries tasted like old fish and were not properly cooked! all tasted off, as others have mentioned more value. they cook everything in the same old oil! nasty! I couldn't even eat it. will not come back. the waitress was beautiful."

"My husband and I always make the effort to stop and get take out on our trip through port perry! We get the halibut take out special with coleslaw and a large Greek salad (every time)! the fish portions are large and fries too! The Greek salad has the most amazing dressing! You won't be disappointed! Staff is always quick and friendly! We always get served fast even though we are getting take out! The longest wait we have had was 15 mins! Totally worth the wait though. Pricing is very fair for the portions and quality. Always a filling meal."
In nice weather you can even eat in the outdoor area.
