"This quaint cafe might not have comforts such as air conditioning but its coffee is definitely five-stars! The shop roasts, brews, and sells (whole bean and ground) locally-sourced coffee, so let's focus on that. First off, it's nearly impossible to find Australian coffee, even within Australia. You know the single-origin beans will be fresh because they're grown in Kurana Rainforest Coffee's figurative backyard. The coffee, both the medium and so-called strong (aka dark) coffee have a pleasant earthiness without losing complexity. Decidedly un-acidic. Wonderfully aromatic. Check out this cafe and get one of the more unique coffees you can find."

"Located in Kuranda, there were a few other Cafe/restaurants around the same place in the Kuranda village market place. We went in because the place looked nice, colorful and funnky, burgers looked bigger and price seemed value-for-money. We ordered 3 burgers, fish, chicken and bacon & egg. Its took a little more time than I expected, around 15-20 mins. But the burgers were delicious and decent size, well made and quite filling. The chips on the side were crispy and tasty as well. Didn't expect this to be 5-star fine dinning place, so we were quite happy with what we got to eat."

"The barista is a hoot, but I could see why some people could be rubbed the wrong way. We, however, enjoyed the conversation, even though it bounced around a bit. We had originally stopped in to see about some coffee to take with us, as we were staying in the area, and the barista told us they were sold out. After seeing how well we took the news and thanking him anyway, he told us to hold on, and he was able to scrounge up a pound for us. Pleasant guy, seems to have some views that could rub sandle-and-sock wearing visitors just stopping in for a hot minute the wrong way but for us, but it was a welcome conversation that was different from the tourist-friendly pleasantries found throughout much of the rest of town.The coffee itself was/is (we still have a little left) excellent coffee, a great flavor that suits both of us, which is rare since I prefer light-to-medium roasts and she prefers dark roast. Make sure you know what kind of grind you need if you are getting take-out, not all press grinds seem to be the same."

"A really interesting and unique dining experience! Desided to be a bit adventurous and had the emu burger, which was quite yummy (although the wife wasn't happy that I was eating a poor emu! There were also other burgers that would have been cool to try, such as kangaroo or crocodile! The venue and the staff were lovely, and the food was well priced and quick to arrive. Very nice overall, and think everyone should give one of their burgers a try!"
