"We were a party of six and having just visited the Museum of Fine Arts in the city centre we were looking for a restaurant for lunch. Bearing in mind it was 2 pm on a Saturday this might have been a problem. We crossed the square and the first eating place we saw was full. However, Le Bruxelles Cafe next door had a manager who knew how to welcome guests. He quickly grouped some tables together and we were seated perusing menus with an attentive waitress ready to help. Our drinks were served in really nice glasses and lunches followed without much delay. My beef Carbonade was delicious, stewed steak in an ale gravy, served with chips and freshly baked bread. The others in the party thoroughly enjoyed their meals of either chicken wraps or hamburgers as well."

"We stumbled across this place for early morning coffee at only (bargain in Lausanne). We then looked at the menu for dinner and decided to return to eat that night. We had an excellent dinner each and a glass of wine for under service was very good and we enjoyed sitting upstairs and looking out at the passing trade and people. The hostess was very accommodating and explained in English the menu. Very good value. Highly recommended. Limited menu but all good."

"Really excellent and delicious food. I was travelling alone and stopped in here for dinner. I wanted something tradition and tried their Fondue moitie moitie and it was excellent. My outstanding waitress, Sophie, explained everythi g and paired the meal with a lovely Nero D'Avolo. She also scrapped off the cheese crust from the fondue and did a great job. The atmosphere was cosy and the food was tasty and good value. Would recommend."
