"I've only dined here once, relatively close to the restaurants opening <br/>I was left underwhelmed by the consistency, flavour and portioning of the meal I purchased, as the sauce was runny and bland. The chicken was cooked through, but didn't have that level of absorbency you'd expect from marinaded protein.<br/>That said, the staff were happy enough to serve me at about 10 minutes to closing time which I appreciated I'll visit again to see how things have developed"

"Went there for late lunch with one of my buddies . Warm welcome on a cold day, ordered two dishes. Kadai panneer and chicken tikka masala for the lunch combo ,server with naan and rice . The naan pieces were so soft and easily chewable . Panneer dish was just about perfect indian style . And chicken tikka masala was a rich creamy gravy with some good spicy texture. I ordered for indian hot as my taste buds are spice demanding and it was good to the expectation . Very nicely cooked chicken pieces and fresh. The ambience is nice and calm . One thing that was lagging is the rice. It was not strained properly ,i could sense it was moisturey as it shouldn't be if it's a usual basmati rice . Good reception and welcoming by the staff . One of them promised me that they are gonna start adding tawa paratha which I'm looking forward to have. Feel good place."

"We have been going to Pandan since they were in Tawa. As a family who love Malaysia and local food, this restaurant is better than local Malay, we feel so lucky they are only 20 main away from Johnsonville. We celebrate as many of our family occasions here that we can. From the goat curry, to the claypot fish, it is all a heavenly delight. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: NZ$30–40"

"What a delight! Apart from the consistently excellent food this restaurant is totally unique in the staff culture and a friendly working atmosphere that is clearly visible. It is a testament to the manager who empowers his staff allowing them to simply be themselves whilst still upholding a high standard of service. This is rare! In particular we would like to thank Rajbir who is not only superbly competent in the ingredients and flavours of the menu but also the history of the dishes. Add to that her personality and charm this was an absolute pleasure to dine here. Meeting Gopal and the other chefs and seeing their enthusiasm for food was also fantastic! Well done team! "Dropped in to grab the Welly on a Plate Burger and was greeted by a friendly girl. She said we could sit anywhere as it was very quiet.<br/>The place was nice and had different seating areas/styles and was quite spaced out.<br/>The burger didn't take very long and the waitress took the time to explain the different elements of the burger which we really appreciated.<br/>Burger was bloody delicious! Pulled pork with maple candied bacon with whipped blue cheese in an apple glazed donut bun! So good!! Did not skip on anything!<br/>The only downside was the lack of acknowledgement for all our praises.<br/>I just want them to know that we loved it!"

"We tried the chicken 65, butter chicken and chicken kebab. Everything was outstanding and the butter chicken was probably the best we have had. The place has a limited menu but everything seems different and well prepared. The manager was very friendly and service was good which is usually lacking at Indian Restaurants. Ended up getting Tikka masala and chilli chicken for takeaways and looking forward to it."
