"If you want to have an authentic experience, ask your waiter to make it Desi Style, which basically means to make it as the locals eat in India and Pakistan. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! The owner and chef is simply amazing to go out their way to make sure their customers feel at home. After not the way my food came out, the first time she advised me to report the staff that it was Desi Style and it turned out that it literally made a WORLD of a difference. Not to say that the food that is always made fresh to order is not so good to the average clientele. I knew I put the bar higher."

"Mom brought to Commack, NY Outback for her 101. Birthday. Our waitress, Sarah, was thrilled! So friendly and the service was great! She told everyone about Mom (which is quite amazing). George, the manager and his entire staff came to sing and wish her well. The food as usual was great, but people made the night special!!! Thank you."

"We just had our wedding at The Pavilion on Saturday 10/7/23. It was beyond amazing, between the staff, the food and the flexibility, we had the most wonderful time!We fell in love with the room as soon as we walked in when we booked in July 2022, with the beautiful views of the ocean, the option for outdoor ceremony and the reputation of Lessing's for having amazing staff and food. We chose the vendor package as it had highly recommended vendors who have all worked together before with the staff at The Pavilion, and that made the day run so smoothly!Tarek we met on day one and from there on he has been so accommodating and easy to work with. He answered so many of my emails and questions in quick timing and was always helpful with information. The days leading up to the wedding he was frequently available for me to contact with any last minute concerns. Day of we had to make a decision for the weather and we had until 3pm (530 ceremony to decide about having the ceremony indoors. I was so happy to have this option as my original plan was for outdoors but the wind/rain kept us inside. Let me tell you though the staff made the room turn around so quick and we had the most beautiful wedding indoors with the background of the beach behind us through the gorgeous windows. We were easily able to fit the 135 guests indoors for ceremony, then under the tent for cocktail and then back inside for dinner and dancing! Plenty of room!Carl was our maitre d and was so wonderful and constantly checking in on us and keeping us all together and on time! We had a day of coordinator and it seems they all worked well together with Carl and Sabrina. He was so accommodating when I asked if we could do family photos inside during cocktail hour before the room was finished being turned around. I was so grateful for that since we couldn't do them outside. Dinner service was great and timely, everyone raved about the food (Lessing's has amazing food!! and the cake cutting was awesome and served quickly (and didn't interrupt the dance party! Sabrina was my bridal attendant and she was fabulous! Always making sure I, my husband and my bridal party were feeling good. She was so on top of everything, even helping bustle my dress more than once! We always had food and drinks (from Carl too! and she made sure we took some food and cake home at the end of the night. She kept the bridal suite neat and even steamed my dress before we started! It was wonderful and both her and Carl were very on top of everything, it put a lot of my anxiety at ease.All of the staff was professional and helpful, holding umbrellas as we went out for first look and keeping the room looking beautiful. The guests raved about the bar service, cocktail hour and dinner.If you want a beautiful venue that has a perfect rain back up plan and still looks amazing (though getting married on the beach was the goal! you should choose this venue. Tarek, Carl and Sabrina were fabulous people to work with and my husband and I are so grateful for a wonderful evening."

"I have visited this restaurant a few times at this point, which is normally when I feel comfortable giving a review. The food is always very good, nice variety and tastes great. The pizzas are always a big hit! The atmosphere is fun, lively, and upbeat, loud, but not too loud to have a normal volume conversation by any means. The staff is always friendly, but I will say after a few visits, that they could be a little more attentive or perhaps have more help. They make small mistakes, like missing requests made, which can be an issue. And sometimes they check in and you ask for a refill, or something, and they don't come back with it. But, nothing to make you not want to go, they are super nice, again, they may just he under staffed.All in all, it's a really good spot!"

"If you are looking for more authentic/Szechuan style Chinese food, this is the place. They have everything from Dan dan noodles to salt and pepper squid to dumplings in chili oil. Closest I've found in Suffolk County to the type of chinese food you can find in Flushing. Only reason for 4 stars is the non-authentic style pricing...you are clearly paying for the area and zip code. If you are up for it (and don't have to lug around 3 kids under 6), I'd go directly to Flushing, Queens on and around Main St to pay much less for more food. Also, dan dan noodles could have been more spicy but could be easily resolved by asking for a side of chili oil."
