"Wow, those ladies know how to run a restaurant and make their guests smile,English, no problem. Friendly service. The dishes are down-to-earth, nothing posh like rabbit: just pizza, burgers, frites, and --- an incredible fish soup with cheese and obviously self-made croutons. Restaurants offering fish soup are so rare to find, restaurants with good fish soup even rarer. On our D-Day trip I got a bit hungry and looked for something small and tasty. My wife - though a bit exhausted - just wanted a cup of coffee. When my soup arrived, one of the ladies from the staff approached us and offered my wife some ice cream. She did it so gently and witty that my wife could not resist. A decision not to her regret - she loved her scoop of coffee ice.The dishes are neither cheap nor outrageous for a restaurant along a busy tourist route. The attentive attitude of this restaurant's landlady and staff makes guests feeling welcomed and comfortable - so, no worries at all."

"Only the view would deserve a good rating. Never seen such a slow and mediocre service. the staff is not trained, completely disorganized and inexperienced. We didn't teach them how to get rid of them by going to a crowded table but not busy anymore. dishes are barely passable and expensive. we won't go back"

"We visited this restaurant on our way to the American Cemetery. We had passed over some restaurants in the Omaha beach area because they looked too touristy and this place looked decent from the outside, with a nice patio in front. The signs outside boasted...Normandy specialties and artisan ice creams. The service was friendly enough, but extremely slow. Though there was a decent selection on the menu posted outside the restaurant, there were very few choices on the menu we were given at the table most were for a set meal that included a buffet for the first course. The buffet looked old and picked over and included things like cold cuts, salads that looked like they were made from yesterday 's leftovers, plain hard boiled eggs and canned sardines. The main course was even more disappointing. I ordered an omelette with a salad the omelette was oily and the salad was old brown lettuce with a dressing. My sister in law 's steak was inedible the taste was so strange she was concerned the meat might be rancid. Finally, we had dessert which wasn 't too bad. My son opted for ice cream (which they didn 't tell us wasn 't included in the set menu like the other desserts until we got our bill) The artisan ice cream was from a machine like something you would see at a Chinese Buffet in the US. Also, we sat outdoors on the patio by the cooking station and all smelled like old fryer oil for the rest of the afternoon. This experience was beyond disappointing. I love France and French food but this was the worst French restaurant experience I have EVER had."
