"We have been to this restaurant many times and the fish and chips is great. However............. I booked a table for two for yesterday. Last month, my husband was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease and has very quickly deteriorated into needing an invalid buggy. I didn 't think it would be a problem. When we arrived, the waitress looked at us and said oh, you 've got an invalid buggy. You should have told us because we 've booked you a table up there (a few tables on a one-step-up stage). There was only one other table occupied in the restaurant. I said I 'm sorry, we 're a bit new to this disability , but she reiterated that we should have said when we booked. The couple at the other table kindly said We´ll just shift round and you 'll be able to get the buggy in , which they did. By this time I was mortified and fled to the toilets to sob. I hadn 't seen this particular waitress before but she could have handled the situation better. We felt we were a nuisance, for the first time since my husband was diagnosed. The Spanish staff at other establishments could teach her a few people skills."
