"The restaurant was very clean and well taken care of; service was very good and friendly. Food was nothing to be desired for. I ordered the deep fried dill pickles for an ap and gave one to my friend to try and told her to be careful as they are very hot. She cut it in half, tested it with her finger and said it was just warm; that should have been a clue to what we were going to get. All the pickles I have ever gotten at other restaurants were extremely hot from the fryer, these were luke warm. We ordered halibut and have never had a piece of fish that was literally sitting inside a pouch of batter; never seen anything like it. The batter was not even attached to the fish, my friend figured their fryers were not hot enough (hence the pickles) and it was disgusting. Poutine was not bad as gravy was tasty, but my friend had just the fries and could not eat them because of the taste of the oil left on the fries. Mushy peas weren't bad. I would not go back to this restaurant for fish again."

"If this face doesn't tell you all you need to know.Food first, cause that's why you're reading – the Brie Fritters were out of this world! You simply can't find a better burger anywhere, the fish and chips were crispy and delicious and light, and the Chimichurri steak was ?.Staff – we had a very friendly, attentive server who made sure we had everything we needed and the space we needed to have a great time.Atmosphere – this patio/ stage space is so beautiful. It's a wide open, bright space that also protects you from the elements, with glass walls. The gardens are bright and bountiful, too. And when you go inside, the 100-year old building has been so lovingly crafted to make a warm, beautiful space that is equally welcoming, elegant, unique and fun. The rounded wooden bar, the pressed tin ceiling, the chandeliers, it all makes for a truly magical space that you'll want to return to again and again."

"Server did not know the specialties, food tasted like a cafeteria “has the lasagna “ inside was very nice. Waited quite long and was served 3 small pieces of bread with a bowl of evoo and balm for 2 people. Wasn't impressed at all. Food: 1 Service: 2 atmosphere: 5"

"Visited LA,s on several occasions and am always impressed with the quality of the food The fries are fresh cut everyday (I've seen the hard working staff cutting extra fries on the go) and are thick cut and deep fried to crispy perfection. LA,s is home to the original layered poutine and the unique topping combinations makes it a dish to savour. If you prefer soggy skinny fries doused in oil.or McDonalds style this is not the place for you. The menu is impressive for a chip truck and if the owner would consider doing fish then it would be complete. Take a trip to Allison for this food, you won't be disapointed."

"Awesome fish and chips. Large portion and cooked to perfection. The fries were delicious and the beer complimented it all. Good service and pleasant atmosphere. If I lived closer I would be back often. We need this in Thunder Bay!."

"This place was a terrible disappointment. It would have been hard to fill the void of Spring Basil, but this was a very disappointing culinary experience. Food rated between bland and terrible. The only type of edible dish was a watery padthai. Wait, the staff was unattended and got the order wrong. And the menu was confused and lazy with South Asian and Chinese dishes and both we tried were disappointing. Maybe they're just getting wet and just recently opened. But it will take a while before I give them a second chance."
