"The thing I love about this place is you can build your own fries/burritos/tacos. Select the type of meat, sauces and toppings you really want, and you're on your way to a truly awesome lunch! My favorite is the pulled pork fries because they smother it in delicious bbq sauce, and the pork is so tender! I will definitely be back."

"Lately, I've been searching for a good fish grill restaurant. While traveling in East County, I came across this place, California Fish Grill in El Cajon. I didn't know much about them nor their menus. So I Googled search them. Wow! I didn't expect there are so many menus to choose from. So we went and I ordered a seasoned Salmon with mixed veggies to our liking (grilled asparagus and bristle sprouts) and a buttered fish and chips. The Salmon was grilled and seasoned perfectly. It came with grilled asparagus and bristle sprouts. It was delicious. Hmm... The other order was fish and chips but I subbed it with saute zucchini instead of French fries. The fish was served, crispy on the outside and moist in the inside. To my liking. Another excellent dish. If you're in East County, stopby at the California Fish Grill in El Cajon (next to In-n-out Burger). The place is clean, friendly staff, a very welcoming establishment, plus it's newer and they also have an outdoor dining. Restrooms are keep clean and tidy. Parking maybe an issue if you dine-in there during peak hours, like lunch and dinner. I recommend this place. 5 out of 5-Star. Good eats."

"This place is unique. Owner and cooks are real nice and down to earth. It is tucked in a tough neighborhood but it is a gem. Food is amazing but seating could use a major upgrade. They cook the best fish done in pizza oven. You pick your fish and it takes about 20 min to prepare or you call ahead and ask for what fish you want done. It is simple salt. pepper and fire. Healthy and yummy. Their tandoori chicken is also great if you done mind hot spicy flavor. Their eggplant salad is super If you are visiting from out of town and love to try Iraqi way of baking fish you should give them a shot"
