"We called to say we were going to be late and they said they could hold the table , however when we arrived they said that they gave our table to a walk-in group when the policy of the restaurant is reservation only ....when we mentioned that the guy at the counter said «we make the rules in our restaurant » plus the time sit in time for each table is 2 hours when we were definitely not 2 hours late . Ohhh yeah we are black"

"Went for a birthday celebration. The Tapinyaki style grill was good, however not what you'd see in NYC or TO. The food itself was tasty (and obviously fresh) and very reasonably priced. The facility was clean and well ventilated.The staff were professional and friendly.Overall a great experience, especially within Ottawa."

"Our whole family loves sushi restaurants and our Ottawa grandchildren picked this one. We were not disappointed. It is clean, well kept, and our round table for 5 was perfect. You order by listing on a piece of paper the number of your choices. I found this easier than using an iPad as some restaurants do. I think I would keep personal track of our orders in future to be sure everyone gets what they ordered. We did get everything but since we are not sure what it will look like we are not sure which is which when it arrives. However everything was very good. Customers kept coming and going which is always a good sign. We were well taken care of by staff. If you do have a question just ask any of the several servers or go to the desk. Free WiFi as well."
Various flavorful seafood courses are offered by the Sushi Kan from Gloucester, the menu also includes delicious vegetarian dishes. But the undisputed highlight of this place is the fine Sushi such as Maki and Sashimi, Furthermore, the guests love the successful combination of different menus with new and partially experimental ingredients - a good example of successful Asian Fusion.

"I went to Sushi Kan with my family and have been a few times, as of late, that being the last year, the service and quality seems to be declining. The food is ok, but there have been times that it has been less than good. Most people wouldn't go after one bad experience but we were regulars and for a long time it was excellent and we always tend to want to give second and third chances. On our last visit we were told that they were too busy to clean a booth and tried to put us in a small area, we opted to sit elsewhere. The servers were quite pleasant aside from one and the food came out at a reasonable rate but overall there seemed to be a lethargy in the staff that night. I don't like being negative and perhaps this trend will pass, but the past 2-3 times have not been the best and we are hoping that it will improve. In the meantime we'll try other establishments."
The large diversity of coffee and tea specialties makes a visit to Sushi Kan even more worthwhile, Delicious particularly are the Maki and delicacies like Te-Maki that this place is known for. The Asian fusion cuisine is likewise an important part of Sushi Kan. Anyone who finds the usual and generally known dishes too boring should approach with a willingness to experiment and try some exciting combination of ingredients eat, and easily digestible Japanese dishes are being made with lots of freshly harvested vegetables, fish and meat.

"The Asian lady with the glasses is so rude I asked for chopsticks and soy sauce and she looked at me as if i have covid. I would never comeback there again because her customer service is really bad."
