City: Mismaloya (Fraccionamiento Pedregal de Santa Martha), 05 de Mayo, Mismaloya 48294, Mexico, 48360, Mismaloya (Fraccionamiento Pedregal de Santa Martha)
"Two nights ago we had a GREAT meal at La Choza down the street and last night decided to check out this spot. We were not disappointed! We started with a couple of mixed drinks and a nacho appetizer to get a sense of the ambiance, cuisine, and service before deciding whether to stay or to go back to La Choza. The drinks were fine (Mismaloya Fizz was good here—La Choza has much better margaritas), but the nachos, the ambiance, and the kind, casual service sold us and we decided to stay for a meal. For our main course, we ordered the shrimp fajitas which were absolutely delicious. As good as our meal at La Choza—well seasoned and nicely prepared and presented. The grounds of this restaurant are really cool. Not sure what it used to be, but it’s beautiful—feels a bit like a repurposed ruin of something that used to be fancier, but it’s very charming and festive in its way, and the bathrooms are clean and modern. The sound of the river running right next to the site is also lovely. I’d say that the experience overall was on par with our meal at La Choza. Food was great in both places, though the margarita was better at La Choza. The service at El Patio was efficient and attentive, but also more casual and more friendly than at La Choza. Lovely spot—we’d eat here again."
