"I have an apartment a few hundred metres from here and so it 's kind of became my 'local '. I love a good pint of Guinness and it 's always good at O 'Connors. Although I have all the TV sports channels at home I like to walk down to O 'Connors when Celtic are playing and I 'll have a few pints and buy some dinner. The Lasagne is very good as is their home made burgers!! I 've never had their breakfasts so far, but I must try it. The other thing to mention is that the bar is right on the Acequion beach and so the views (especially at dusk) are terrific. You also get a lovely breeze coming off of the sea when the weather is hot."

"Having been using this restaurant for some 12 years, I went there with my wife for the first time in a year expecting to find the same standard that I had been used to. I was terribly disappointed,There was a ham leg that was finished and not replaced during our visit. The hot buffet was at best mediocre and a lot of it was so dry that it was inedible, The only saving grace was the fresh food selection for the wok, but there was only one cook on duty and so the queue was long and the wait was inexcusable, they used to have 2 or 3 cooks on every evening and the wait was only the cooking time. The dessert section was good but it was not good to see the topping up the trays from tins in front of the customers.Staff were not attentive and only seemed interested in clearing up the dirty plates, trying to attract their attention to get a drink was difficult. I suppose if you are a family on a budget and not fussy eaters then this place may suit as you can go back and forth to the buffet as often as you want and just leave what you do not like."

"I have no idea how this has ended up on the Happy Cow listing, I don’t even know where to begin. We entered and were taken to a table right away. Our drinks ordered and delivered without any word on how the restaurant worked. We managed to work out that you could take food to fry in a wok I took some vegetables (ones that did not look like it had been contaminated with people dropping meats into the vegetable dishes) up to the wok counter. Everyone’s plate was fried in the same wok didn’t matter if it was veg, fish, meat, everything was done in one wok, one after another. There was no labels on any of the food so I had no idea if there was egg, milk, meats, etc in any of the dishes. The rice and noodle dishes looked to contain egg. I tried to speak to someone and explained I was vegan and could not eat rice or noodles with egg. They came out with boiled rice and said “so you are vegetarian”. I tried to explain I was vegan and not vegetarian using the word “vegano”. However, he replied “you are vegetarian, you don’t eat meat but we will see about that”. I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome. When paying for the bill, I looked at the receipt and the staff were very ignorant and said in a horrible manner the contents of the bill were correct. I have no idea why this has been added to Happy Cow and should be immediately removed!"
