"Do not trust their flier prices or website, I ordered 2 kebabs off of the menu which should have been £15.50, to be told it's £20.50, I gave in to doubt that my menu was an old one and ordered anyway. When they arrived 40 minutes later they were barely warm, one had chilli sauce on which I'd specifically instructed I did not want, I called them back and they agreed after shouting at each other to send another which took another 20 minutes, I asked the driver for another menu which he gave me and surprise , the prices were £15.50. They are clearly making prices up to rip you off. I have heard from another customer that they've experienced this too."

"I visited Piccolo Mondo on Thursday 14 November 2019 in the evening, a weekday during term time. I was with three other people. This was my first visit. The restaurant comprises of one medium sized main dining area with a good number of tables with full table service. We had called ahead and booked a table it was quite busy. The team were incredibly friendly and welcoming, we got everything we expected in good time and enjoyed the experience. I had the pâté for my starter and a Carne pizza for my main course. I wasn't keen on the starter but that's just personal taste, there wasn't anything wrong with it I would have preferred normal bread toasted with the pâté but the restaurant uses an alternative which I wasn't keen on but I'd say that's personal taste. The pizza, however, was beautiful very tasty and the dough was light and fluffy, probably sounds odd but just beautiful! There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily. The food was good value for money, I paid just under £30 for two courses and three drinks including a hot chocolate, a pint of diet coke and a half a diet coke. One other slight criticism, the glass that the half a diet coke came in had lipstick on, which I cleaned off, I didn't make a fuss, no need, I'm sure it had been through a dishwasher so I'm sure it doesn't matter but something to think about I regularly have drinks served in glasses and, whilst I appreciate it can happen, I've not seen lipstick on a glass in a very long time so maybe a dishwasher or detergent issue or I was probably unlucky but no big issue! Overall I enjoyed my visit and would come and visit again, especially for the pizza and the very friendly staff."

"Love this restaurant. The staff are so welcoming and the food choice is great. On this occasion we eat before going to a show at the Tivoli, goodness how busy they were. Very often we go for lunch before going on to a talk at the Allendale Centre, the lunch deal is so generous. Tasty food, nicely presented and of course the desserts, which are extra, are so yummy you cannot resist them. Do wish it was closer."

"Amazing place to go with children. Lots for them to do whilst you sip on a cold cider. The lamb roast was tender, and it came with an absolute unit of a gravy boat. Highly recommend."
