"On Easter Saturday I was with my friend and three of my best friends from school in my old home town of Essen. Since all our favorites (city and other weeks were booked before, the choice fell to the Amici I had not previously taken into account from its nearby location. In addition, the opinions I had heard about the Amici were very different: They find the store great and often go and like to go, others complain about food and cleanliness (through the door a reviewer wants to have seen the kitchen in kitchen smoke. The first impression was good: the wall design (Toskanamotive is little ingenious, but sympathetic because it looks made itself. Faster than you could choose, the nice waitress was already at the table (this is a general "problem" of the visit constantly someone came to the table, asked for further orders or to find so that you hardly came to choose anything in peace. I chose a good Italian red wine, a water and spaghetti sample, my companions also chose pasta or pizza. The food was very fresh, tasty and rich. Before eating black and green olives and small hearty pastries were served, also very tasty. After dinner there was a grappa in the house. At the prices: the card is really good. The pasta and pizza dishes are between 5 and 10€. For more demanding guests there are also many dishes in the higher price range, such as lamb, beef or fish dishes, pig and seafood. Prices range from 12 to 25€. We did not try the appetizers, soups, salads and desserts, but there is no side of the card that does not convince. There is also an offer for children and a large beverage card, but there is little news. Especially the choice of wine could be better with an Italian. As already mentioned, the service was better than it should be. By the way, the restaurant was sturdy, there were mainly families there and the volume was very high, but the restaurant cannot do anything for it; I'm very glad to go back to Amici."

I want to highlight the garlic potatoes that I have not been served as crispy and good-tasteful as in the athos in Freiberg/Sa. also the dip cup is kindly common here. we were there as a larger family round and had our fun but above all our joy at eating. it was, not only because, a beautiful evening! and the cheffin is gone, we did not notice it neither at the service nor at the taste of the food."
