"Discovered last year (but spotted longer), I loved lunch. Back this year for lunch again on the terrace (4 adults and a young child). Excellent experience: beautiful setting, maintained and enhanced, small garden flowered between the parking and the restaurant, bucolic in Sauternes! nice reception, impeccable service. Special mention for my little boy: Special coloring, book and booster offered spontaneously by the staff. Small dishes and wines, I recommend noon because the formula of the market is attractive (5€ admission 15€plat 5€ dessert) and very gourmet, we rarely find this quality for this price. It actually allows to enjoy without ruining the budget of the holidays! In a short time with the family, which I highly recommend."

"We wanted to spend a good time at the terrace, which was unfortunately only a suite of disappointments and misadventures. We booked 5 adults and a baby. has the backlog of the hotel receptionist kindly offers us a table inside because it is cold, but the server, apparently having already refused other customers irritably. We insist that it is not possible to stay in the cold wind with a baby. He prepares a table in the room, letting us plant next door. We feel like we're embarrassing. Other customers will follow in soon after. Afterwards, we discover with surprise the unique menu (an entrance, a dish, a dessert) unlike what is indicated on the site. We have to fight to finally be offered a fish instead of the meat (unceasingly with the same sauce) and a chocolate dessert that turns to dessert with raspberry. the wines offered are however excellent. At the end, chocolate dessert eventually comes and we always offer tapas. We came to spend a good time, and we're leaving very disappointed. In our humble opinion, this terrace gives a bad image of the castle and should remain as ephemeral as possible. We will return to the star table with pleasure."

"We went along to Auberge les Vignes when we arrived in Sauternes in the early evening, as it was opposite the guest house where we were staying. And what a pleasant surprise we got: a truly excellent restaurant at last! Efficient and friendly serving staff and at least one young lady spoke good English (learned in the USA) A very good and varied menu indeed and the food was cooked and served to the highest standard. A very imaginative chef too but none of that OTT arty stuff! And very good value for money and well as being totally unpretentious. Sauternes is in the centre of the best sweet wine making in the world. The classified wines are expensive (often very) which is hardly surprising as the grapes are hand picked and it takes one vine to produce one glass of wine! But here you can sample a few by the glass (and more by the bottle): still a little expensive but not bank breaking...and well worth it! Taste the difference! Closed Sunday evening and Monday."

"We organized a lunch for 10 adults and 5 children in the idyllic setting of this restaurant. By chance, we were able to be installed outside while being in the shade of the large linden, it was very pleasant. The upstream preparation with the commercial service was perfect and all information was provided for D-Day. All our guests have had a very good time. Thanks to the teams!"
