"Located on Piazza del Comune, Federico II is a great place to grab a snack, have aperitivo, lunch or dinner. Our party of five had dinner there recently, three order pizza, one pasta and one salad. All meals were nicely presented and tasted really good....Staff were friendly, helpful and spoke some English. Very good wine selection also. Great location, great food, friendly staff. A must place to visit when in Montefalco."

"I have the recommendation to visit Family Nest from a local and it turned out to be a very good restaurant. He particularly recommended me to try a pizza there, but they also have other dishes on the menu. The selection of pizza is huge and my pizza was served in about 8 minutes. The pizza was very good, but what I really found excellent was the dough! Never had such a good, thick and chewing crust in my life Napoli style; . Wine and beer selection is above average and I am sure that most guests find something they like. There are also parking spaces next to the restaurant. Reservations are recommended, especially for parties larger than two."

"We had one of the best pizzas we've ever tasted when we stopped here at lunch. My wife and her sister loved the bianco pizza with potatoes. I had the Norcia bianco pizza) with sausage, black truffle and soo much cheese! Thin crust and crispy with just enough blackened char for taste, yet soft enough in places for a great chewing texture . Cheese with a perfect browning to further enhance the flavor. And the sausage and truffles. ...solo perfetto!!! Plus a generous pour of Montefalco Rosso. As smooth and satisfying as it was inexpensive 3 Euro/glass). Sitting outside on a beautiful May afternoon only added to the pleasure. We had many excellent meals in Umbria and Rome but, in it's own way, this was one of the very best. Unanimous verdict from all at this table). Vegetarian options: Many pizzas and I assume pastas) had no meat ...but it would be a shame to forgo the cheese. Could be done. Kid-friendliness: It was quiet the day we went. Looks like children wouldn't be a problem especially outdoors).
