"I travel by Wandering River on a regular basis for my work. I often stop at the A&W for lunch or a late supper. Of course the menu is the same as all other A&Ws but the staff take great care in preparing it and...it shows. The counter service is always friendly and efficient. I would especially like to commend Jackie, Maribel and Tara for their courteous and pleasant service. I actually look forward to entering the restaurant as I'm nearing Wandering River."

"I'm a regular at this Subway and consider it to have some of the best service in town. Several of the employees know my order and make my sandwich without me having to say anything. One time the debit machine was down, and they just...let me take my meal. I came back after work to pay them. The food is just regular Subway fare, but sadly, this is one of the best places to eat in Athabasca. I'm glad to have them in town."

"One of the best A&W's I've been to. Food is always great and never cold like some places (McDonald's)where the cheese doesn't even melt on the burger and the fries are cold. The service is fast and the staff is courteous. Our favorite stop whenever we're in town."

"I came to this place when I lived in Calling Lake, great place to get a juice burguer. Nice people."

"It was closed for renovations and didn't notice much of a change in the dining area which is fine as it was modern and clean to begin with. Guessing most was updating the kitchen and bathrooms. They seem to have an issue with their fries for some reason though. Went through the drive thru one time and didn't get any with my combo, then dined in the other day and the portion was disappointing compared to before when they used to be overflowing. Keep an eye on your fries guys !"

"Food was decent. Service was slow. It took Over an hour from when I ordered until food was on the table. Had to Flag the waitress down to get another drink each time it sat empty For over 15 mins. Heard patrons coming in from the patio to the bar to order drinks because they weren't being served in a timely manner."
