"Last week I ordered a Number 1 (cheese burger, fries) but upon returning home, I found they provided me with a spicy chicken sandwich, which had 1 piece of lettuce and 1 sorry looking slice of tomato. Tonight I made the mistake of ordering chicken nuggets. They were hard as rocks. Even worse than McDonald's. The fries seemed to be bereft of anything resembling potatoes. So bad, I will never go back again."

"Stopped in for an impromptu dinner and was more than satisified. Oysters were fresh and the seafood boils were very flavorful. The servers were very friendly, constantly checking on us and even offered complimentary shots. I saw one of the servers play magic tricks with another table and sing happy birthday for them. They def know how to keep customers happy. Will come back for sure!"

"First off, this is our local favorite. The food is creative and delicious! However, on our recent visit we were shocked with how unpleasant the service was. Our waitress didn't seem to understand English at all, so several of our food requests were done wrong and we ended up overcharged as a result for an item also. We didn't try to get our money back and just sucked it up, but we did let a different waitress that was also coming over, know the situation. When we were later ordering desert, she was incredibly rude and condescending. It was as if she was mocking us and asking if we are sure there is nothing in our desert order we can't eat or don't want her tone was obviously unfriendly. We loved the food but were all very much shocked with the service."

"I'M BEEN VERY UPSET WITH THIS PLACE ON MULTIPLE TIMES. As a Filipino and a lover of Filipino food, I really gave this place multiple tries, but today is the last time I eat their food. On multiple occasions in the past when I tried ordering food, whoever answers the phone is just nasty. I understand we all have our bad days, but as someone that is also in the customer service industry, that is no way to talk to someone that wants to buy your food and support your business. Since it opened, I've ordered from Kabayan probably about 6 times and actually ate there once. I have to admit that the one time I ate there, it was great because I think the owner served my group. However, literally every time I ordered food to take out, it was not pleasant. On top of all that, the food is way over priced. Now on to today, my fiance who is not Filipino) was over charged for our food. She picked up the food and being the polite person she is and refuses to have confrontation, she brought the food home and consulted me about it. Now this is what she ordered Panicit Bihon $8), 6 Pork BBQ skewers $8 total, 4 of them was a combo deal and the 2 extra were $2+change per stick), and a side of vegetables. Now, I'm not great at math, but my fiance paid $35 total, which does not make sense. Knowing my fiance, she's willing to work things out, but like I also mentioned, she hates confrontation and she described the cashier as rude to the point she wanted to just leave because she wasn't treated right. Honestly, I wasn't surprised when she told me that. The cherry on top... I just wanted Garlic Rice with my Pork BBQ skewers.... BUT ALL I GOT WAS WHITE RICE, WHICH EVERY FILIPINO ALREADY HAS IN THEIR HOUSEHOLD. Thanks for opening my eyes Kabayan Grill. You have lost your business with me and will gladly go to Philippine Best in Hicksville to get my food. It's worth the trip. I miss Metro Manila, another Filipino restaurant that used to be down the street."
