"I use to visit this restaurant once a year with my family, especially during fall, to enjoy the great hunting meals, served with a choice of season vegetables and home made fine spätzlis, topped with a rich butter/champignon sauce. The place is very nice, there...are different rooms, so the atmosphere is warm, like in a grotto. The personnal is very friendly. We were there with our years old twins, and it's never easy to go to a restaurant with kids, especially since it's not really a kid friendly place (no toys or games), but people working here were nice to us. Wine selection is great. Local Schaffhauser top level mostly, that compete with the best swiss wines (wallis for example). Please make a reservation, it's always full during hunting season. The restaurant is baking its own bread, and you can buy it there as well. The bread is always warm and mellow. Fantastic ! feel free to buy some for later if you like it .."
In pleasant weather you can even eat and drink in the outdoor area.
