"Nice location for a restaurant. Flies EVERYWHERE to the point where it was almost surreal and impossible to enjoy a meal. We stood waiting to be seated and the waiter just ignored us for 10 minutes until we forced him to acknowledge us. Every dish was undercooked, lukewarm and our fish was stone cold in the middle. Waiter was surly and rude throughout. Would not recommend."

"Recently had lunch with my husband and kids. Delicious local food prepared by the family who own the restaurant. Unpretentious, local food, simple and absolutely delicious. My husband and I ordered one of the recommended dishes cod fish or a version of brandade de morue in French. It was excellent. We had a nice local white wine to accompany. Our children most enjoyed the desert of the day which was a kind of custard. If you are traveling there, go the station across to see the beautiful azuleros and enjoy a nice meal at Segredos do douro!"

"Beautiful location, great warm service, very exclusive, only 4 tables. We had good wine and the steak for two on the bone. Very friendly proffetional place. I had better steaks in other countries but this was the best i had in Portugal, i am not saying take the steak, however this was the only dish i had. Great experience, the food takes a while to get there so dont come starving or maybe order some bread"
