"We were on a cycling trip and stopped here for lunch. My meat eating friends liked the food . Although the menu is simple enough, they all said it was good. I asked if they could make something vegetarian for me. We were a group of 7, drinking wine etc as well as eating, so I thought they would try to knock something up an omelette or just an egg and potatoes would have been fine. No, they could not do that. I asked if they could make a salad but they could not do that either even though they served side salad with the mains. I am quite flexible and undemanding, and it was disappointing to be met with inflexibility."
