"Alt life is a good clean hostel to stay if you are planning to visit mcleodganj, this is what google and the picture shows. It is clean and located where cars can come and hygiene is maintained etc etc.However, not everything is true. We booked it around a month back and they told us they ll set up a bon fire for us. However when we went there and on the first evening when to told them to set up a bon fire for us they told they ll not do it when we told that you promised on the call he told 'kisne baat kia kisne bola hoga ' and then we kept requesting for two days, and he did it for is on the last day of our stay. For the hygiene matters there were clothes all over the place hunged up for drying, on the plants, fence, railing you name it. I must say that the stone two storey house has good rooms (i have posted pictures) and the house looks beautiful. The other rooms and dormitories are okay. The food is also good and they have a nice seating area/cafe where people can work from. Overall nice place for the price but hygiene and customer service is not to the point."

"Nice cosy place .The food is great .Specially the momos .There are live bands performing ,which is very nice .One will have to walk up the hill as there is not a proper road ."
