"Home made pasta and true piemontesian food with a stunning view served by a friendly, pro waiter. I had peperoni con bagna calda for anti pasti, perfect mix of pepper and sauce. For primi I chose tajarin essiccati trenta tuorli al ragù. Wonderful skinny «spaghetti». For secondi I had filetto de fassone aglio e rosmarino. Tender and lean meat from local breed, excellent! My daughter chose semifreddo al terrine con cioccolato and I had some; wonderful nougat parfait with chocolate. I was recommend a calosso red wine, Daffara Grasso. A local DOC made from Gamba Rosso grapes."

"I am really sad to say that this previously excellent restaurant has totally changed its menu since last year. Now it focusses on raw seafood at what can only be described as London prices. Gone are all the great dishes that were available previously; local in inspiration but imaginative in their execution. I am not sure what market they are catering for in rural Piemonte, maybe wealthy Swiss and German tourists who will only ever visit once. We had lunch on Friday, and in previous years it would have been buzzing with locals as well as visitors, but on this occasion there were very few customers and those that were there did not seem to me to be local. My boiled crab was inedible, and the tools provided to crack the shells were inappropriate. So much so that I cut my finger quite badly trying to open the claws. Upon seeing my bloody hands I was not offered any first aid, nor even any finger wipes which would be normal when being served with fish food that you have to handle. At least the cost of the crab was deducted from the bill. Such a pity. Plenty of better places to go in the area."

"We booked the dinner in the afternoon, which was good because some of the dishes in the fixed menu take a long time to prepare and cook. All the dishes were super delicious and handcrafted in a way that added an extra level to the taste. We were curious about the cooking and the hosts were so generous and shared a lot of ideas with us to improve our Italian cooking at home. Of course the secret ingredients were not revealed."
