"Disappointing experience with this restaurant. Eating is an important facet of our travel experiences and we’d heard that this region has spectacular produce due to the volcanic soil. We booked a night in next door accommodation in this tiny, fascinating medieval village based on Google listing this restaurant as being open on Wednesday nights. We turned up at 8.30pm the hour listed on both the Google search and ON THEIR DOOR SIGN as it’s opening hour. All the outside tables had their table cloths on so we thought great! And there was a woman inside eating. We walked inside only to be told, quite rudely by that woman that the restaurant is closed! And there were no other restaurants open in the village so we had to drive back to Olot to eat. I don’t know what the food is like at this establishment but I do advise if you are visiting Santa Pau and want to eat at night, telephone to check whether they are open and hope that rude woman isn’t the one you have to talk to."
