"Varaire is on the Chemin de Compostelle and I stayed here one night. The only other diners were a German couple who spoke English but no French, so I acted as interpreter. The restaurant (there are also rooms, basic, but clean) has been in the same family, who live on a local farm, for several generations. Our meal was simlpe, but of good quality and ample quantity. No menu, just eat what's put in front of you. Not a gastronomic experience, but a glimpse into la France profonde."
The restaurant also offers the possibility to sit outside and eat in nice weather.

"A beautiful table with a large old fireplace in a beautiful little castle. This farm-inn offers a lot more than that. The arrival at night fell is fair. The shadow of the old castle envelops the arrivals of a sail of mystery. the châtelain who says shepherd tells us the story of the place in the old chapel, then we pass to the table for foie gras, lamb of the farm and home dessert. a delicious evening in every sense of the term."

"An amazing place lost in the Lot countryside. Thierry, the host welcomes you with such kindness and the restaurant is really cosy and chill with candle light. I recommend to go at night. The food is really tasty and made by Rebecca, à great Cook ! All in all it's a wonderful place, I will definitly go back there !"
