"Chaotic Airport (but otherwise pleasant experience).My family and I have used this airport as a layover between flights from Ottawa (1st time in Apr 2018 to Las Vegas, 2nd time in Jan 2023 to Punta Cana). First time we had a much better experience despite being in a rush to make a connection with ONLY 45 min. Staff were super friendly and gave us a lift to our Gate destination. On our 2nd visit during our return back to Ottawa it was extremely stressful, chaotic, and unpleasant staff. They almost misplaced our luggage and found them eventually after an hour of searching. Luckily we had a 3-hour layover. I guess depend on luck. On the positive note, we loved the actual walk on the runway (outside)."

"Honestly... I would rate this hotel 3.5 stars... but I round down to 3 because I know how much smoking rooms bother people. I stayed on the 3rd floor... however, upon nearing the elevator in the lobby, I noticed an odd chemical smell. Once on my floor, I recognized it... the smell of chemical cleaner used to mask the odor of cigarette smoke. Now, perhaps this was used for COVID disinfecting? Nonetheless, the hotel has a distinct chemical smell which sensitive noses will find annoying. Service was good. Hotel does not have room service... restaurant only open until 11pm. And... if you do NOT have GPS in your car good luck finding your way there along the myriad of twisty Airport roads and weak signage. At least it is really close to the airport and great shuttle service."

"The guy that takes the orders is soooo impolite. I don’t eat pork and every time I ask for beef sausage; the guys says YES. I think because I usually go during midday and the place is crowded, so he doesn’t want to lose his time with me. This time it was around 7pm, as usual I asked for beef sausage, but this time he said it has always there is no beef sausage, it is a mix of pork and beef, and it has always been like that, a mix. So I told him what happened earlier and he made fun of me. He said: “may be you have been speaking to my twin brother or my ghost”. I got mad and told him he is the one I have been taking too and he is suddenly giving me a different answer. He basically told me that I was stupid and never understand his answer."

"I like to get my coffee before work at Tim Hortons near the gas station. The service is usually fast, and the only problem is that there is no place to sit. The food is very tasty and the staff rarely mess up orders. Tasty!"

"Coming back from the airport from my vacation in April 2016, my friend who was giving me a lift back to my place and I decided to stop off her for something to eat.This place is one of the fast food places that have the deep friend thick cut french fries which are not grocery store bought and like the thick fries your parents used to cut and make. I'm a fan of these types of fries. I prefer these types of fries over the fries from the 5 major Canadian fast food restaurants (McDonalds, Harveys, Wendys, Burger King, or A&W).I really like "Italian Poutines" over "regular" Poutines so I opted for their "Poutine with Michigan Sauce". The Poutine with Michigan Sauce is basically french fries, a bolognaise style sauce (meat based tomato sauce) and cheese curds. I found their "Poutine with Michigan Sauce" to be very good.The negative thing about this place (provided that you like fast food) is that inside the restaurant, you eat at the counter (standing up). If you want to eat inside the restaurant (because of the weather), you eat standing up with your food at the counter. If the weather is nice, they have tables outside the restaurant. On the day that my friend and I was there, it was cold and raining so we ate standing up somewhat close to the cash register. There is ample free parking next to the restaurant.I rank them 3.5 stars out of 5 and like my other reviews, because 0.5 star values are not possible, I rounded them up since I don't want to shortchange the establishment so you will see 4 stars (but I really rank them as 3.5 stars)"
