"Previously dined here in July with my out of town family that has never seen the area. I'm not sure what has recently happened but there is a clear shift is quality. The staff as always is super friendly and entertaining, but the overall dinner last night was not good. We had a party of six for my sister birthday. We waited an hour for a table and in the process of ordering food found out that the kitchen was out of 4 proteins. Anything with chicken, shrimp, steak and tuna was out of stock. So we waited an hour to eat just to find out there were about 3 choices for entries or we could get a soup or salad. So 3 of us chose salmon, 2 clubs and 1 fish/chips. Well when we got the food the salmon was cold and burnt, which is weird to say. Like the outside was burned, but the inside was cold. The veggies weren't cooked and we did not have the sauce for the fish. The fish and chips is not a kettle type of chip, but instead like ruffles chips out of the bag. My sisters sprite I'm pretty sure was seltzer water. So after waiting an hour to be seated and another hour for food we decided at 930 enough was enough. I asked my very polite server for the manager and when speaking to said manager informed him of the issue and insisted that I was absolutely not paying for dinner. We did make sure to hand our tip directly to the server prior to leaving. It was not her fault at all and her service under the circumstances was amazing. I don't think restaurants understand that long wait periods and product shortage leaves clients extremely upset and sometimes clients will take that out on their waitstaff. This was not the case, we made sure to compensate our great server! But I will say I'm surprised that no one other than our server came to address the table or apologize for literally anything. That poor server had to be the bad news messenger the entire time. I literally wanted to cry from frustration for her. I love the food here and will be back to dine and the service is always great, but I honestly would like to know what happened yesterday. Because running out of 4 proteins when there are 2 hours left of the kitchen being opened and the terrible quality of cooking is very unusual for this spot. My expectations for this location are so high, because I have had amazing meals here. Hopefully next visit is better, sorry to the staff yesterday, we could see how hard you all were working! Based off my previous dining here and the staff I rated it 3 stars, but based off of yesterday alone it would have been 1, but I know the quality and its amazing, yesterday was just a fluke."

"While we tried to eat our dinner on Wednesday night, 11/05/09, around 19 o'clock, there were 3 very visible drunken and harmless mosquitoes in the bar area. the f -bomb was dropped very loud, I can't tell them how often, along with other raw swears. there were several tables in this smoker area that try to eat what was really a very nice meal. After the manager went out 3 times and saw her, and he knows how drunk they were, the bartender, (which is obviously not tam certified) continued to serve one of the drunk men another budweiser! I was shocked and amazed! as a bartender, I myself, not only is this the stupidest thing I have ever seen, a bartender do in my life. but, hey, I was so upset that I had the bartender box on my food, and we left. I can't believe that this bartender didn't call a taxi for the 3 people who obviously couldn't stand up from their bar stool, let alone make a decent set without offending their words. why is this acceptable behavior? is the manager and the bartender aware that according to michigan law, they and the establishment are liable when something happens not only innocent people, but the drunk themselves? are they both aware that they could not only lose their jobs, but also the prison period and an ugly fine for the overcare of these people and not call a taxi for them? obviously they must be ignorant and/or a blind eye in this small town to keep their job! only a nice example is not what they know, it is who they know! very sad. this is not the first time that we have experienced this kind of behavior."

"The sign says where the locals eat, boy I feel bad for the locals! Instant mashed potatoes, frozen over cooked burger for the kiddo, the only thing decent was the wing dings and that's because they are bought pre done. Even the wings were over cooked so there was just a little meat on them. I definitely wouldn't come back I always support local but in this case I'd rather go to Applebee's up the road. Also the prices are horrible for the quality they serve."

"On a Saturday evening ordered and it was hot, delicious and ready in 30 minutes. The Crab filled rainbow trout was quite dang good and the amount of food and fish was incredible. But I think the French dip was one of my favorites ever tried. Fried mushrooms are also worth mentioning, just because, yum. Delicious food, quick service, would go back."

"We stayed overnight in their camper parking lot. No hooks, but it was a nice plastered area. I think you can get shuttle service to the casino, but I left. It's not a big casino, but it was nice. There is a smoking room, but you can smell the smoke if you are near it in the main non-smoking area. The beer was nice and cold, and not too bad of a price $3 for a domestic bottle). They had table games. I think they were all $10 or $25 minimum. The slots were good for me, so I can't say anything negative about them. But I don't think I'm gonna win a lot. Finally, it's gambling. The servers were great. They were friendly and fast. No wait 20 minutes to get your drink. I'd definitely come back."
