"We booked a table for 10 to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant was full but we were immediately greeted and made to feel welcome. The atmosphere was great. There was a slight delay in getting the food out (not that it bothered us) but Anthony insisted on compensating for the wait with complimentary pizzas and drinks. Our meals were fantastic, with everyone praising the quality of their meals. Anthony's has a family atmosphere and is an absolute gem of a restaurant. Will be returning soon."

"The Pickled Duck was packed when we visied for lunch on a Sunday. Still, we managed to get a table instantly and service came quickly. The diner has a rustic like vibe, exposed brick walls, wooden panels and warm tones.<br/ <br/ Between the 3 of us, we ordered 2 burgers and a pizza with a side of chips and onion rings. All mains were packed with flavour, meat ingredients were pull apart tender. The chips were cooked to perfection and the onion rings were the tastiest that I've tried. The small negative to the meals was the large amount of oil. While they were good, they certainly left us craving for something fresh. A small side salad would have been nice to balance the bloated feeling we recieved after. Presentation could also be improved.<br/ <br/ We also noticed that a few cleaning products (along with a bucket and hose) had been left out near us, that was a unsavory to look at when eating.<br/ <br/ Overall we really enjoyed our meals and would recommend this location to any gourment food lover."

"Nice warm atmosphere on a cold wet night. The menu was a little surprising as lots of items weren't traditional English grub. Salt & Lemon Pepper Squid for example. We ordered Yorkshire Pudding with gravy as an entree to share. Pudding was a good size for sharing. However when we cut it in half, the base was about 2cm thick and quite solid; not the light airy pudding we expected. It was also cold in the middle. I suspect a microwave was involved. For main course I had Cod & Chips with Mushy Peas. The cod was okay but a little dry. The batter was overlooked and very crispy, not like English batter at all. My friend had the pork roll with roast potatoes, apple sauce and crackling. The pork roll was like a thin foot long sub and was quite nice. The crackling was oversalted to the point of being inedible. We both left half of our meals. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and the service was good but we won't be returning due to quality of food."

"The avocado melt and the halloumi burger were good but the Caesar Salad was extremely bland. The chicken wasn’t seasoned and the dressing wasn’t even close to a Caesar dressing. It was more like a mayo without any taste. I used lots of salt and pepper to try to get some taste. When the waitress asked how my meal was, I told her about the lack of taste. She said that she would let the kitchen know, but never came back."
