"My wife and two friends stayed at this excellent Relais Chateaux Hotel and were not disappointed we have been fortunate to sample some fine French cuisine over the years and this was amongst the best. The fact that French locals and business colleagues...were also eating in the restaurant supports this. Lucas Vannier and his team produced some magnificent and beautifully detailed food with a sublimely classic fois gras nested on a bed of light puree and crunchy delicate onion. We enjoyed mullet, framboise, entrecote, lamb and some amazing local and regional cheeses and the Maitre 'D Patrick and his colleagues were attentive, happy and very professional. Definitely going back here to have a Chef 's Kitchen afternoon with Monsieur Vannier and thank goodness for a traditional family owned luxury hotel that is REAL luxury and not some shiny Dubai 'bling bling ' affair like so many of the older French hotels have become."
