"Ich gehe sowohl geschäftlich wie auch privat viel essen und möchte behaupten einen guten Geschmack zu besitzen. Im Sommerurlaub auf Sylt waren wir fast täglich essen. Bei diesem Restaurant welches "Italienische" Gerichte anbietet sind wir total enttäuscht worden. Angezogen durch die wirklich schöne Optik des Ladens mit schöner Deko u.s.w. haben wir spontan einen Sitzplatz für zwei Erwachsene und zwei Kinder bekommen. Wir werden freundlich empfangen und bekommen einen schönen Tisch. Nach Erhalt der Speisekarten vergehen gute 20 Minuten bis einer der drei Kellner sich zu unserem Tisch bemüht. Und dabei war weder etwas los in dem Laden noch hatten die Kellner viel um die Ohren. Naja, beschäftigt waren die schon aber eher mit sich selbst. Es gab viel zu erzählen hinter der Theke. Nach unfreundlicher Aufnahmen der Getränke und des Essens, warteten wir weitere 20 Minuten auf das Essen. Was ja vollkommen OK gewesen wäre. Da standen nun unsere Vorspeisen vor uns und "schauten uns an". Ohne Getränke, die standen immer noch wohl behütet hinter der Theke. Der Weißwein war bereits vor geschätzten 18. Minuten ausgeschenkt worden, aber scheinbar wurde vergessen was man damit machen sollte. Dann wurde es hektisch und die Getränke schwebten an den Tisch. Die Flasche Wasser habe ich dann geöffnet und uns eingeschenkt. Ich gehe davon aus, das die polnischen männlichen Bedienungen vieles können, aber eben nur nicht Kellnern. Ich hatte als Vorspeise "Vitello Tonato für 14,50 Euro" und meine Frau "Tomatensuppe für ???" Das "Vitello Tonato" war das schlechteste meiner Lebens. Ich hatte echt kurz das Gefühl ich müsste es zurückgehen lassen. Habe dann auf Rücksicht der Kinder quasi alles geschluckt. Warum war es "außergalaktisch" ganz einfach weil die Soße absolut Geschmacklos war und nichts aber auch gar nichts nach Tunfisch geschmeckt hat. Die Garnitur war zwar korrekt mit Sardellen und Kapern geschmückt aber eben auch mit Obst wie Wassermelone, Heidelbeeren u.s.w. die haben auf einem Vitello nix verloren. Ein Blick in ein italienisches Kochbuch hätte für Aufklärung gesorgt. Die Tomatensuppe meiner Frau war gut, etwas mehr Salz hätte Ihr geholfen noch besser zu werden. Aber das mag ja auch Geschmacksache sein. Jedenfalls erheblich besser als das Vitello. Als Hauptgang gab es bei uns Pizza. Der Teig war gut, mit etwas mehr Salz wäre er noch besser gewesen. Scheinbar sogar auf einem Steinboden gebacken. Der Teig hatte schöne Blasen geworfen. Der Belag hätte ebenfalls mit Salz bestimmt geschmeckt. Die Nudel meiner Töchter waren reichlich mit undefinierbaren Kräutern geschmückt inkl. Stiele und reichlich Crema die Balsamico. Hat da jemand vielleicht ein Trendende verpennt ? Ich denke es reicht an Info´s für die nächsten Gäste. Übrigens für 105 Euro für uns alle vier, fahren wir beim nächsten mal lieber zu einem "richtigen" Italiener in Rantum, Westerland oder Kampen. Ach so noch was, Seife auf der Herrentoilette wäre super gewesen. Danke"

"The restaurant Sonniger South is located in Hörnum near the main road. You can sit inside or on the terrace or in the front garden. At Corona times you can register at the entrance of the garden, the menu is available online or laminated. Opened at 13 a.m., I arrived here shortly afterwards, in the destination of my little bike tour, and was the first guest on the terrace, but later the restaurant filled. I opted for a Sylter apple-wood bread and an oven potato with North Sea crabs. This was very tasty and was served with abundant crabs. The service was resolute, but friendly. The toilets are located in the entrance area and are clean, but something has come to the age. I'd like to come back."

"Since we were no longer looking for a big restaurant in Hörnum, we were looking for this place near our resort. We cannot confirm the partial nagative reviews after the visit. Although our arrival was near the kitchen, we were welcomed friendly and accommodating. The dishes were very well prepared and the crispy pizza was abundantly covered. Unfortunately no card payment is possible. This is clearly noticed on the menu that also hangs at the entrance."
