"A lot is going right in this restaurant. The building is nicely maintained and in a quietly charming village. The view on the river is great. The dining room is decorated with very good taste. The menu is short but quite well done: courses are practically all at the same price, so that your meal depends on how many courses you take, not what you choose and there is an ambition to aim high. Dishes were quite nicely presented and they contained a pleasing amount of creativity.Staff was hurried and uninterested while there were a number of tables occupied, though the dining room was not understaffed. When some people had left, things improved considerably.On the whole, the service was correct for an upmarket restaurant.One point of anxiety was the wine card. It is long and stocked with all familiar names. However, when half of the bottles are priced over €100, you know something is wrong. I understand 4 times shop price in a restaurant, but encountered 6 to 8 times shop price here. Our wine was too young and too cold.Another problem was the balance of taste. In all the dishes we had, the taste of the main ingredient was completely obliterated by the sauce. The worst was the lobster, which was reduced to the taste of the avocado sauce. Only the texture remained. This problem is not compatible with the price level."
