"Fantastic pizza. The staff were friendly. We sat in at one of the table and had a beer. The pizzas were excellent, particularly the goats cheese, ham and roasted pepper and the caper and anchovies. Big portions, piping hot and really tasty. Thoroughly recommend……and will return"

"It looks like a pizza, it almost smells like pizza... but it just doesn't taste like pizza. The crust is tasteless, the sauce is ... well... canned.... to be polite. And it's so expensive compared to others in town. The only thing good is the guy running the place. Even though he is the slowest pizza chef I've ever seen, he was very friendly."
The extensive range of coffee and tea specialties makes a visit to Le Refuge a Pizza even more worthwhile, Also, you shouldn't miss out on the delicious pizza, original freshly baked in a wood oven.

"Had to wait for over an hour for my spaghetti bolognese, they simply forgot to make it. Small portion for 14 euro! Afterwards when i asked for the bill, it took 15 minutes to get it! There are so many nixe restaurants in chamonix, avoid this one"

"Ordered 2 burger at and yes watering 20 euros each, and eventually a bottle of wine from the wine list (they didn’t have most of what is on the list) any 30 euros. Bill is a QR code disc you take to the bar and guess what, 2 x 20 30 is 100 euros. I did basic arithmetic at school and no it is not. Tried to argue that we took the QRmcode disc from another table. Joke. Also taken to an outside rear roof top terrace for our meal. Don’t go, devoid of all atmosphere, boring place to sit. Better still don’t go. Food ok, not brilliant and check your bill very carefully. Also when I speak and order in French I do expect to be spoken to in French. Tourist trap and not worth a visit"
