"We stayed here for one night whilst visiting family who live close by in Dodendorf. We had driven from the UK. The hotel was easy to find and about half an hour from Magdeburg itself. From the outside you might think it looks a bit olde world but inside couldn 't have been different. Our rooms although probably geared toward the business traveller were well appointed with refreshments, good furnishings and a decent choice of channels on the TV. The rooms were well spread out meaning that the noise of slamming doors, vehicles coming and going etc were not heard. The grounds of the hotel were also very relaxing lovely gardens with Chickens providing the eggs for breakfast. The breakfast itself was also very good. There was a wide range of choice and the waiter checked regularly that we had enough tea coffee. The free range boiled eggs were excellent. As it was summer we were given the choice of eating inside or outside. The hotel staff spoke some English which was nice and we could 'double dutch ' so to speak. The car park here was also secured which was important to us having travelled such a long distance. Overall I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel as somewhere to stay. I 'd like to go back!"
