"Looking for a wellness hotel for a voucher up to 30. My sister's birthday I bumped into the Starnbergsee Hideaway. The first impression about the site was great, the stay a disaster. After our weekend I am ashamed to have given a voucher for this hotel. • There were no extras for drinks; • there were no extras for a drink; The building and the location are beautiful, the service, the selection of food and drinks and the price are absolutely not in relation to each other. It's a shame, but here someone has absolutely no idea how to run a hotel. Edit: I wrote the review 23 weeks later, as we did on 5. November back in your restaurant to get rid of the remaining amount of the voucher. Unlike promised, the voucher could not be redeemed for the massage (it would have been an appointment that was not in our short-term booking, but in billing), which is why we left a balance. But even 4 months later, nothing had changed regarding the service, there was a menu for two people, as the others would be changed, the service has for ever despite only two tables in the entire restaurant. The balance sheet wasn't as easy as promised. After our first stay we had asked the receptionists to talk to the General Manager, but it was said that he was back in the house on Tuesday (we went on Sunday). The subway evaluation comes about because in your hotel the services absolutely do not match the price and your promise on the website. As guests we were willing to pay a lot of money for a stay, but for this money a minimum of service is expected, which was absolutely not given here."

"Since I saw the documentary films about “Gut Aiderbichl” and fell in love with their mission and beliefs, I was looking forward to a day of this paradise itself and met not only the beautiful animals with all their history, but also the people behind this concept. The sanctuary is surrounded by a beautiful Bavarian landscape. With the mountains in the distance and the next sea shore only 500 meters away I was at a good start feeling as I finally found a place of great rest between us living beings. The guide showed us the animals and told us their heartbreaking stories. About halfway through the picture began to crack when I asked about cat and dog food that was very evasively answered. After various excuses, the leader confirmed it was one of the cheapest cans from the livestock industry.. until the tour ended the guide had already made it clear that it desperate for support.. I totally understood her point, but then the leader actively tried to donate any present person in money on a monthly basis over a long period.. Explanations were strongly judged and the mood quickly became a price tag... anyway I came out without getting a smile, but at least some money in my pocket and went into the restaurant, I was hoping to secure the sinking ship. I was confused by labelling as it was not clear whether some dishes were vegan or not. When it became clear that not even half the food was vegan, I asked the cook where the dairy products came. Again very evasive response, but in the end he confessed that it is not the cheapest, but also not the organic type (not that it makes a difference at all. I left the scene with bitter taste. How can you support the industry you so heroically try to save the victims? “Repeat” while still behind the back? In my little mathematical understanding, if you save one, but still another, in the end the equation is still zero and the hero is still a hypocrisy. Although I think “good Aiderbichl” is a big step in the right direction, with a lot of wasted potential, looking back the whole visit felt like a well-planned vegan honeypot for naive animal lovers."
