"Worth your taste buds... I was looking for somewhere oriental to bring the family and landed upon this place cause it was nearby and had a mixture of two cuisines which was just perfect. They do say there is parking but we were not sure if you could park just outside or down the main road, we didn't risk it so went with the latter. The location wasn't hard to find, just one of the inside roads which leads to the restaurant. The interior was pretty nicely setup, had a nice aura about it. The main reason to pop down here is for the food, they had many options of the two cultures to choose from. The sizes of portions were larger than we expected, which meant we had to doggy bag just less than half of what we ordered. Food quality was rather good too, tasted pretty fresh that day. The staff were helpful in helping us with things we needed to know, which is a great help. They also do takeaways, we noticed that they had plenty of delivery drivers picking up food to be delivered meaning business was good. Highly recommend."

"I’ve always had a good experience when dining at this restaurant but on this occasion the service was just terrible! From the moment my friend and I arrived the person was not welcoming and shouted out across the restaurant for the booking name. Once we had sat down she couldn’t tell us quick enough that she need the table back by 8:30pm. We had literally just sat down! Our server was unfriendly, miserable and had zero customer service skills. The food was still of a good standard and tasty but the bad service and fact we couldn’t pay by card has completely put me off dining there again. What a shame as it used to be a very good place :"

"Great food with some excellent delicately balanced flavours and good service. They really do need to invest in a proper heater to turn on for guests for when it's cold outside; the little one they have is sized for a box room but not a restaurant. I'm sure it's okay when the place is full and body heat helps warm the place up, but when you're the first of the night it is off putting. It does also make the food go cold a little quicker than I'd like (when food is good I like to take my time, plus I like an extra Pad Thai for the table because I can never decide . We persevered because the food is SO tasty, but others may not. That I still rate it 5 stars tells you how good the food is. They just need to fix that one small thing."

"We came to this restaurant on a Saturday evening. It was fairly busy but not completely full. My first impression was this is more like a ‘down market’ café that a ‘good Thai restaurant. The staff were dressed in quite scruffy clothes and the seats and tables were as you would find in a café, not in a decent restaurant. When we were seated, it took about ten minutes for the menu to arrive. It took about 20 mins for the food to arrive. The quantity of food was small and it was almost certainly pre cooked. This restaurant seems to do a lot of ‘take away meals’ and as a result, there seemed to be an exceptional number of scooter riders parking outside the restaurant and helmeted and black motor cycle suited, entering the restaurant to collect their food. This was not a nice aspect of dining here. With 2 beers, this 2 course meals cost 55.00 I think that it is a high price for such poor quality food. We will not return."

"We’ve been ordering from Spice Republic for years, great food fresh, full of flavour and always delivered on time. Today was a different story everything was dry, the paneer shashlik was completely white and soft, no lovely chargrilled flavour or tandoori spices. Pilau rice had all the spices and colour in but tasted like poorly boiled rice. Mint sauce is equally pale looking, sort of whitish, tasted of nothing. I called them and asked why the change, to be told they have new management and a new chef. What a shame. If you were asked to cook Indian food for young children this is what you’d make. Everything is white, plain and bland. Last order from me, we will be going elsewhere."

"Always happy with our order from here. there is a lot of variety and the box meal times are really good value. special curry, each of the chow mine, and the duck and pigeon all good options. only one star is missing because no silk tofu dishes."
