"We held the annual Christmas lunch of the Coutances Anglophone Association at Jules Gommes last year. It was, to put it simply, an unforgettable event. From the arrival we were treated like honoured guests. We enjoyed a pre-meal drink and nibbles in the cosy and intimate bar. Then through to the charming restaurant, complete with crackling log fire. The food was delicious and all freshly prepared, with in-season local ingredients taking pride of place. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all 30-odd members, and is still talked of, in fact we intend to book again for this year if possible. My husband and I have visited the restaurant many times over the last years and have never failed to be pleased, it is a restaurant for any occasion, intimate or with a wider group."

"We were well received the waitress and very dynamic and very kind. On the other hand we find the dishes not very correct at the level of dishes,cutlers and plates not clean.. attention to hygiene.. On dessert the apple pie excellent but the part is really small."

"Good wine list, good menu. Everything locally sourced and fresh. The menu was delicious and there was choice for vege's too. One of our party has to be very careful of gluten and they were completely accommodating. It was all very well presented, beautifully cooked and tasty. I would happily return here to see what is on the menu as it changes depending on availability of produce."
