If they could get the third thing down, I would make the 2 hour trip every week First, the burger is nearly perfect, and the buzz is warranted. "Great place to stop for lunch and/or shakes on the way up to or back from camping in the Uintas; also great for lunch/shakes after swimming at the South Summit Aquatic Center just around the corner. Yummy shakes and I like their chicken cordon blue sandwich. They bring your shake first if you're ordering lunch at the same time."

"We visited State Road Tavern Restaurant for Sunday brunch, and were very impressed at the cleanliness of the restaurant, the friendly service (by Deborah R), and the tasty food. I chose the Benedict of the Day, which was an eggs Benedict dish with pulled pork and kale, hubby got the salmon BLT. The grounds of the DeJoria Center (which State Road Tavern is located next to) and views of the mountains from the restaurant are beautiful, and we might have opted for patio seating, but it was still just a teence too cold in June, go figure! The thing that we most appreciated was that they played old school country on the satellite radio instead of the awful watered down hip hop or auto tuned R B you hear at most restaurants. For what you get, State Road's prices are a tad on the high side, but if the opportunity arises, we'd happily dine there again!"

"We had reservations for and tix to a show that started at we did not get seated til We already had looked at the menu and knew what we wanted so when our waitress came less than a min later we placed our order then and let her know of our situation. At we still did not have our food at which point we stood up and was talking to the hostess to see if we could pay for our food and pick it up after the show, just then our food arrived at out table. We did sit down and had a couple bites before we put the rest in togo boxes and went to our show. Food was great waitress was great. Kitchen dropped the ball. I will not go again unless I have nowhere to be afterwords"

"Finally checked this place out with the opening of the High Star Ranch bike trails. While I can't say anything about this venue for events, I will say that the quality of food at State Road Tavern is great, and the prices are very reasonable. We have enjoyed coming for brunch after a bike ride a couple times, and will continue to do so until they raise their prices, which I hope won't happen."
