"Great fish -bad customer service is not first-rate. This is the original Astoria Seafood, best known for its displays of fresh fish (there was another one with a similar name on Steinway Street (some years back), where you can select what type of fish you want to consume. When we entered, the place was packed, so we ordered the bluefish and red snapper up front. Our side orders were baked potatoes and crab cakes. The few items we ordered were costly, and we paid over $50 in cash. The fish, baked potatoes, and crab cakes were excellent otherwise! Because seating was hard to find inside the restaurant, we decided to eat outside. This is where customer service was poor. We tried to eat at one table and then asked to sit somewhere else. On top of that, a waiter came up and asked for a tip from us. That was not cool, and my friend, in disgust, gave the waiter four quarters. Management should review their customer service experience"

"I get to eat here a lot since I work in the area. I have to say the customer service is always good and they keep the spot neat all the time. Prices are affordable and they serve large portions."

"Had a great first experience here! The food was amazing. I had the Concha Negra Ceviche and also had some of the Curry Habanero sauce others spoke about. Super spicy but loved it!! The place accepts cash or zelle. Service was attentive and made sure I was taken care of. Highly recommend!"
