"As the evening was very warm we joined the other guest for a dinner outside. We enjoyed the food which was OK. However service was not to the highest standards. It reminded me as if it were the daughters in the family that had been forced to serve that day. The did not really show much enthusiasm."

"We visited the restaurant on a Friday evening it wasn't particularly busy but it was full enough for ambiance. The food is adequate but the service is diabolical. We arrived at 9.15 and we ordered water for the table and a glass of beer whist we perused the menu. Our water arrived but not the beer. Ok maybe an oversight. It then took an aged for the waiter to take our order, he seemed more engrossed with local friends at the bar. Once our order was taken, including our order for wine again it took an age for our salad starter to arrive. No wine had turned up but with our water drank we asked for refill. Our starter turned up about 45 mins following our order but no sign of our wine or water. We reminder the waiter about our water and took this opportunity to ask about our wine. Our waiter didn't recall our order for wine but would bring the wine list again. About half an hour later we reminder the waiter about our wine and just requested the house wine in a carafe. This did come quite promptly. We then waited about an hour and a half until our main course appeared (10.50). It was ok but nothing special. When it came to the bill we were charged for the original full bottle of wine ordered which was about £20 euros more than the carafe. Luckily we challenged and the error rectified. One last thing to note a french family of 7 (5 children and 2 adults) came in about half an hour later than us and were treated quite differently. Would I recommend most definitely No! Spend your well earned where the want and deserve it!"

"Very pleasant, pretty modern place, with a lovely fish pond. Everybody in our little group liked their food, but what stood out for me was the salads at lunch- really generous with fun ingredients."
