"When it comes to having authentic Malvani food, it has to be this place. Thane comprises of so many restaurants which serves authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. However, after trying a couple of restaurants I now only head to Malvan to satiate my seafood craving. I’ve now visited here a number of times. In my recent visit, I ordered: Bombil fry – this was ok, was way too oily Green Peas Garlic Fry – the only veg option in starters, quite below average. Veg Thali – since veg options are so limited, this was the only reliable dish to try. The dal was good, the tendli subji was a pass. Surmai Thali – its favourite fish and totally enjoyed, the entire thali which is served with bhakri, rassa, fish curry, rice and solkadi Pomfret thali – the fish was really very fresh Chicken Rice – it a chicken pulao in Malvani masala. Good spicy, thoroughly enjoyed. Special Egg Curry – this is a variation of egg curry where there is no boiled egg but scrambled eggs! Yes, the scrambled eggs are in brown spicy gravy, went so well with bhakri. Chicken Thali- nice chicken gravy and and chicken curry with coconut flavour. It's my go to thali if not keen for seafood Masala Papad The service is quick and staff is very polite. The highlight of this place is value for money. "It's just sad what was delivered. 4 x 50cm pizzas were ordered. You could have hammered nails into the wall with the salami pizza, the cheese was just the cheapest, tomato sauce was apparently sold out, Diabolo had zero spiciness and all 4 pizzas had so few toppings You only had dough and with an order of 88€ not even a drink or salad and just sad once and never again!"

"... Sicherlich nicht zum letzten Mal da gewesen! Das Lokal ist von außen ziemlich unspektakulär, aber sobald man die Treppe nach unten gegangen ist fühlt man sich wie in einer taverna antica :) alles schön schlicht und hinter der Theke die Küche mit großem Pizzaofen.Wie hatten vorher reserviert, was sich als richtig und notwendig herausgestellt hat. Im 5min Takt kamen Gäste, die ohne Reservierung auch leider wieder gegangen sind. Die Kellner waren sehr freundlich auch wenn man ihnen etwas angemerkt hat, dass es stressig ist. Sowas vermittelt mir immer den Eindruck, dass ich störe... Kann aber auch an meinem Empfinden liegen. Das Essen kann trotzdem sehr zügig und es war hervorragend! Mein Mann hatte selbst gemachte Pasta und ich Pizza mit Salat. Alles Nachspeise gab es Tiramisu. Ein Traum! Wie werden definitiv wieder kommen!"
