"I would not recommend this place as such, except that RHB can be a difficult place to find vegan food, especially in the daytime (The Bay Hotel does good evening meal for vegans). We called here before a walk to Whitby when we were already starving and they made us a baked potato. It was cold nice in an old fashion oven and had some baked beans on it. Nothing special, but filling. The teas and coffees we ordered had to be returned, as originally came with cow's milk. Overall, the service was not great and there were some flies hanging around. A place to eat if you have to eat something."

"We visited here, while on a small trip to the Robin Hooded Bay, the location of the cafe is nice, we do not sit on the terrace overlooking the sea, as unfortunately there were no places. The venue is larger than expected with seating on the inside, on the street on the front and on the terrace on the back overlooking the sea. It's worth visiting for a drink and the view. The menu lacks vegan options. You have a breakfast sausage butter that you can order until 11.30, then it is a hummus and salad sandwich or hummus with bread. When we arrived at 1200, I tried to ask if I could have a sausage abhorrent, but one said that this was not possible, not really sure why, but I totally understand how it was after 11.30. So I went with the hummus salad sandwich and my partner the hummus with bread (for variety) that were fresh but lacked in imagination. We were informed by someone that they usually have vegan cakes, but they had no links So probably somewhere for a coffee, a cake (if they have) and a nice look, but nothing else."

"My wife I stopped at Raven Hall for some lunch having walked from Cloughton needing some refreshment. We were warmly welcomed by the lady on reception who directed us to the lounge bar. The staff in the bar were very welcoming friendly explained their ordering system to us. We ordered drinks food which was quickly served at our table. We had a ham cheese toasted sandwich which came with chips, salad coleslaw. The food was very fresh very tasty. Although the bar was busy service was excellent. This was our first visit to Raven Hall but we will definitely be back. The views from the hotel grounds over towards Robin Hoods Bay are spectacular."
