"I agree wholeheartedly with all the positive reviews below. I had the spinach and red onion strudel served with a sophisticated mushroom sauce to die for. An unusual combination on paper but beautiful flavours. A nice touch having a good range of half bottles of wine available.. We will definitely return asap. All food beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. The floor is carpeted which I much prefer to keep the noise down. A perfect restaurant for a quiet romantic dinner."

"Here for dinner and eat clearly characterized vegan. the personal had good knowledge of veganism and advised us that the chips were fried in the same oil as fish. She then checked with the chef, the oil had been advised just changed, so would be okay. we shared the sweet potato starter, which tasted delicious and then I had the fungus lasagne, which was very tasty and the mushrooms had a nice taste. husband had good burger and chips. beautiful atmosphere in pub."

"This place surpassed my expectations. first, it is a beautiful room. dog-friendly also. we ate from the a la carte menu (picture.) I had to start the soft bowl collar and the oktopus as main. I have rarely seen softly peeled crab on a menu in Britain, when I have seen it has been bad, so I have ordered more in the hope than expected. it was great. crispy, sweet and juicy. the accompanying green salad was a great guide. the main octopus court was incredibly tender, according to my opinion, they should not interfere with the king Prawn-Squid, as it distracts from the sheer quality of the cooking taste of the oktopus. we shared a dessert of almond-Marmalade cake with mandelbiscuits eis. I'm not a big dessert fan as I don't have a sweet tooth, but that was good. I would have chosen a cheeseboard of local yorkshire lancashire cheese if that had been an option. I just moved into this one, I'm gonna eat again."

"Dropped by as I was staying in Hebden Bridge and after googling gluten free options at around 4 pm on a Saturday. I was thinking about a sandwich but most of the cafes advertising gluten free, via Google, were closed so thought I'd try some pizza. I'm very pleased I did. The staff were very friendly, relaxed and helpful. I ordered a pizza with capers and anchovies, which was delicious, and one of the best gluten free bases I've ever had. My boyfriend, who wrinkles his nose at any gluten free dough or bread options, helped himself to several helpings. Cute location too. Shame we aren't local as it would become a regular. Highly recommended."

"Absolutely fabulous, went on my birthday christmas Tuesday after pancakes, which they did not on the menu. They offered friendly to make us something and a beautiful sharing plate for a very cheap price, really made my birthday special"

"A cut over it does not cost the earth or the life of an animal. I ate at nelson’s for a birthday contract, and although I am not a vegan, I really enjoyed eating. fresh products prepared with fantasy and beautifully presented. the whole meal was delicious. the dessert we were finished with was disgusting and so many quality wines to choose! I love the redesigned decoration; artistic touches throughout the eclectic space, including retro estimates among the real living plants everywhere. a Jewel of a place, whether you fill your face or dance for the night."
