"From the bizarre "lobster bisque" that contained so much vinegar it was inedible, to the stringy, flavorless white asparagus, the mediocre (clearly not 'house-made') foie gras to the awfully dry jambon sec, it appears the chef brought everything from the local Monoprix. The rum cake was literally bland pound cake floating in a cup of cheap rum. The fumes were so strong we had to ask for it to be removed from the table. Wow... Never in all our years of travel across Europe has either of us ever had a meal that so lacked in quality with such a high price tag. Good wine list or not, this restaurant has no business being in the Michelin guide. The white table cloth atmosphere was curiously out of sync with the inattentive and at times clueless wait staff. We are absolutely baffled that this restaurant is considered one of the best in Burgundy. Anyone with discerning taste should avoid. Travel instead a few miles to La Vieille Tour in Noyers where for a fraction of the price you can get a taste of truly refined French cuisine."
