"Had lunch here in the upstairs restaurant on Friday 11/3/22 having booked by phone that morning for second sitting (14:00 . Felt a little bit cramped for these covid times but actually it quietened down a lot just after that. Both of us jumped at the chance to have the rabbit dish as it's such a rarity in the UK...and it was delicious, with little mushrooms, and a wonderful jus/sauce. Served with a cheesy polenta (but i asked if I could have the mashed potato instead and that was no problem, and also delicious and slightly cheesy. We had a salad to share, which had a lovely mustardy dressing, a beer and a vin chaud, then a gorgeous raspberry frangipane tart to share (from the amazing patisseries in town then coffee. Not cheap, of course, but all delicious and with really friendly service."
