"Went there for lunch. They have a nice lunch special menu that comes with soup and an appetizer with your meal. The soup was delicious! However I asked if they could make what I ordered spicy, some dishes are noted as spicy but what I selected wasn't. I was told they could but unfortunately they didn't. I'll just have to try something different next time because I will go back."

"I'm not here until I go from NY to Boston to New Haven. We wanted to get something Japanese and I was just looking for a “Japanese cuisine”. This place appeared and we took an exit literally other curse (Sport, if you remember me). When we came in, I was shocked by the design of this place. It looks like I'm in downtown NYC, not a suburb of New Haven. I ordered a salmon teriyaki with Phily Maki. I always order these dishes as they are my favorites. And I tried a lot. In this place, salmon is the best. It really looks like “drilled”. It even has a grilled crispy crust that is so delicious! I'm going crazy. (pictures attached). Phily Maki is also amazing! A lot of salmon, lots of cream cheese and thin layer of rice. It's impossible to wish a better one. Today was my second visit. And if I think about lunch or dinner, I don't think too long as I already stared in my cards. Five stars in any case!"

"Absolutely love Southbury Seafood!!! Go there often and have become a regular customer for the best sushi in town! Ordered a large amount of shucked oysters for a Christmas party we had and they were an absolute hit…many people said some of the best oysters they’ve had. Highly recommend!"
