"This place was a bit hard to find, as it's kind of located in a residential offshoot of a street. It's in the same little street as another pizzeria and some other random places, so don't miss it! It's bigger on the inside than it appears on the outside. As you walk in, there is a display case full of GF sweets, cookies, small pies or tarts, bread, etc. Nearby is a cooler of GF sofas and drinks, and next to that is a small freezer full of GF ice cream. Behind that are shelves of GF beans, rice, pasta, sauces, etc. We sat at a table and tried to translate the Italian menus amongst ourselves. My advice- order the pasta or pizza. I had the spaghetti carbonara and couldn't tell it was gluten free. It was delicious, beyond rich, and so flavorful and well seasoned. The pancetta was thick and crunchy, and I devoured every bite. My parents had the pizza and said it's a thousand times better than the gluten free pizza they get in the US. The food alone makes this place special, but they also serve bio wine at good prices. And the owner (I assume) also waited on us and helped in the kitchen... she was so kind and lovely! She was so enthusiastic to meet us and wanted to know who in our party couldn't have gluten. She also told us something we didn't know- Diet cola in Italy has gluten in it sometimes! She was so warm and helpful, despite the language barrier. She made you just want to come back the next day! If we had a place like that at home, we would go every week for bread, dinner, desserts, you name it. I know that Italy is a great place for ordering gluten free meals, but this place is really something special. The food is that good, and the hospitality is that good. If you're staying in Siena or doing the drive through Crete Sinesi, make sure this place is open (they take a break after lunch) and go there immediately! And after you eat, get homemade biscotti or a lemon tart to go. So beyond good."

"An amazing cafe/pizzeria in the heart of this lovely village. The young lady spoke excellent English and her service was excellent. The Italian sandwiches were delicious and when we asked her to toast them...she did although it is not the norm. The Prosecco on tap was a hit as we do not have that in Canada."
