"We visited Monica's on our recent visit to the Cotswolds and decided we wanted some chips. We drove into central Evesham from the A46 and Monica's is just past the traffic lights on the right hand side. Ordered 2 x portions of chips on our first visit and really enjoyed them. The medium portion is more than enough for two. We returned again a couple of days later again this time ordering chips and a fruit Slush. On our last day ordered just two Mountain slushes (ice cream and flake in top) which were very nice in the warm weather. Always seems to be busy any time of the week and locals seem to like it which is always a good sign. I spoke to a local person outside while looking to see which Slushes to order and he told me how good the kebabs were. We did not try any of the other hot food, but I imagine it would be good and is definitely worth trying and seems to be a good selection. All staff I met are all very efficient and friendly and food did not take despite how busy they were. Have visited Evesham for a number of years, but I can't believe we didn't find Monica's before. Highly recommend visiting and we will visit next time we are in Evesham."

"Food was top notch beer good. Got drinks at thr bar and told the young lady serving us that we had booked a table for food. Told to sit at whatever table we wanted but no menus, expecting someone to bring them over. So slight disappointment that we had to go ask for menus for the table after waiting between 5 and 10 mins at the table. Can't judge the rooms as stayed on the campsite behind the pub. Don't know if they are connected but campsite was lovely. Service: 4 Location: 5"

"We are local ish to the bridge, only across the river but a bit of a journey to get too. It was worth it. Finally a place that understands portion sizes. I had the beef bourguignon pie, served with veg and mash. Absolutely gorgeous. Followed with an apple crumble with a twist.....finally a place that understands a pudding shouldn't cost more than a main. This was a bargain at £6. At that price it's perfect and worth every penny. The place itself is vibrant in the bar with an open fire, duel sided with plenty of locals in there having a good time. Excellent options for drinking too. The bar staff are very helpful and waitress service was on point. The only complaint was that the restaurant area was cold due to a problem with the boiler and the log burner was waiting to be swept. Don't let this put you off, we will go there again, at £30 a head for 2 courses and 3 drinks over 4 people (1 driving on soft drinks). I'd say this is one to visit. It's slightly out the way but set perfectly on the river avon Sorry no pics of food as I tucked into it straight away and cleared the plate before I thought about taking a pic. Dietary restrictions: One nut allergy, one 100% intolerance to milk"
