"This place is seriously so excellent! The battered fried fish is perfect--the fish is so flaky and fresh. They also give a pretty hefty portion of steak cut fries with the fish and chips, and the fries are delicious. The Ahi Tuna Burger was also very good, and comes with a small side of fries. Everything costs pretty much what you would expect for seafood on the beach in Malibu, but the most important thing is that you are definitely getting what you paid for--the food here is good! There is tons of seating, some that is outside and right overlooking the ocean, and then there is also indoor seating. Glad we stopped in:"

"Duke is named in honor of Duke Kahanamoku, the father of surfing, and was started in Hawaii. The food and the relaxed atmosphere are as authentic as it becomes! At dinner it is “nice casual” dress; for lunch you will be good in jeans. On Sundays a wonderful brunch buffet is served. The Barefoot Bar is very popular with singles and young couples, and their drinks are all wonderful. Don't miss her mai tai! Although the bar usually blossoms with youthful energy, the dining room is pleasantly quiet and relaxing. The decor reflects its Hawaiian roots, with many surf memorabilia. The entire wall opposite the ocean is glass and the views are incomparable in a clear night. Seagulls land on the rocks outside the window; Their Ancients are often closest. "Very much enjoyed our experience. The place is beautiful and the bar area is very charming with historical pictures of famous people who have previously frequented this place. The outside beach dinning area is also very nice and is probably the most beautiful and scenic environment that I have ever had the pleasure to dine in. The food was good and the portions were very generous indeed. The servers were very attentive and professional. The prices are not at all unreasonable considering the location and setting. The server validates your parking ticket when you settle your bill for the food. The usual parking charge for Paradise Cove Beach is $45. The restaurant validation reduces this to $10. The parking ticket is good for 4hrs and it is a nice beach to visit in a spectacular cove setting. I guess there is two ways to look at it. Either you might consider that you are getting a $35 discount on your beach parking or alternatively you might consider that you had to pay an extra $10 charge for your meal. Your point of view will depend on whether you visit the cove and pier or not. All in all it was a great experience and I am glad that we visited."
