"Au Coeur de l'Afrique is a delightful restaurant. The owners are friendly, the decorations (African art and photographs of African animals) are lovely (some stunning), and the food is quite good. I had a specialty kir made with kumquat liquor, delicious samosas for starter, (on the advice of the owner) beef dole for my main course, and (also on the advice of the owner) a taste South African pinotage to accompany. Everything was fresh, well presented, and really good. Menu is offered only in French, but owner speaks good English and can help with ordering."

"Nous y avions superbement déjeuné il y a 2 ans et notre récente expérience nous a laissé perplexe, le rapport qualité/prix, je devrais plutôt dire prestige/prix, n'y était pas. Dans un menu à 45€ le tartare de saumon certes bon était un peu "pauvre" dans son assiette, la cuisson des légumes mi-cuit était plutôt mi-cru, et s'ennuyait un peu dans l'assiette. Le fromage ? 1 cabécou et 2 feuilles de salade ... prix de revient 1.75€ ! Dans le menu "ouvrier" des restos du coin on m'a servi meilleur plateau. Mention spéciale pour le dessert qui était vraiment réussi."
